The Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion is the largest and heaviest helicopter in the United States military, it was developed around the Vietnam War-era CH-53 Sea Stallion but features three engines instead of two making it more powerful than the previous iteration.
The Sikorsky CH-53E introduce a larger rotor with seven blades making it able to carry more passengers and gear that can go up to 55 troops or 30,000 lb of cargo. It is fitted with three machine guns, one at the side door, one at the window and another at the tail.
The Sikorsky CH-53E with its pumped specs can reach a cruise speed of 173 mph and 621 miles making it suitable to move supplies and ammunition fast forward to our Marines or for search and rescue missions.
During her service life, the CH-53E Super Stallion was deployed to the golf, Afghanistan and Iraq.
