Check out this video of the 5 largest tanks ever conceived. The list starts with the M1 Abrams. The M1 Abrams is a since the 1980s the main battle tank of the United States Army. The M1 replaced the outdated M60.

The first serial copy of the M1 was delivered on 28 February 1980. It forms the backbone of the armored units of the USA, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Australia. To date, more than 9,000 copies have been built in the USA and Egypt.

The M1 has been subjected to several increases in combat value in order to keep it technologically up-to-date and to adapt the threat situation since its introduction. It is named after the former Chief of Staff of the Army, General Creighton W. Abrams. The unit price for an M1A2 in 1999 was about 6.2 million US dollars.
